GB19 - Inventor's Tale

GB19 Inventors Tale is based on Stevenson's Rocket as steam power is one of the themes of the stamp issue. In addition to the illustration of the engine on the front of the cover, there is also a cartoonists flight of fancy, a steam rocket. On the reverse believe it or not, is an illustration of a genuine steam powered submarine. The issue was 144 at £7 each.
