GB38 - People & Place

Barry Hawkins, our usual artist, didn't want to illustrate this one, so we simply put some pictures of people on a map of the world. There are lots of puns on this cover, explained by a little poem on the reverse.

We didn't like 'People and Place', it sounded too vague for our taste. So as 'soul' rhymes with 'sole, and 'place' rhymes with 'plaice', And all people are 'souls', and all 'soles' have their 'place', We chose the best place, for our handstamp address Close by broadcasting house, 'All Souls Place', nothing less. Then three 'souls' trudging over a flat kind of fish That could be 'plaice' or 'sole', whichever you wish, completed the picture to our satisfaction. We hope you will laugh at our little distraction.
